A great few days in Victoria with Larry & Andrea, loads of catching up, visiting good pubs around the city and meals with them and at friends.
One couple asked us over for a meal, it only turned out to be the Wharf Street marina facilities manager..........Sheila Neopole, this was brilliant, as Sheila managed to sort out a berth forus in September for Novara..........good stuff !!!
I spent some time walking around parts of Victoria i had'nt seen before, so cool.
Andrea & i also met Larry at one of his archery shoots with the Victoria Archery club..........some amazing bows, from Composites to handmade wooden one's.
Larry and i went for a bike around some of the lanes out of Victoria and met up with Andrea for lunch. Got to say my "credentials" took a bit of a hammering !!!
Long time since i've ridden a bike, well for some distance anyway...............phew.............saddle did'nt fit either !!!!................Double phew !!!! ;-(
It all came to end too quickly and it was time to get ready to fly back to the UK.

Andrea and Larry take me to the ferry at Swartz Bay................all went well, only $16 odd for the ferry.....good stuff.
Bus from Twasssaaaensssen ;-) ? was $4 (think i dropped a clanger there i asked for Bridgeport Station, should have asked for the airport........DOH !!)
Flight to Toronto was good..about 4 hours...watched a couple of movies.......good stuff.
Never buy a chicken sarny in Toronto airport...........$14.50 each !!!!.........holy polony !!!
Only 6.75 hours to Manchester.....don't where i got 10 hours from...................muppet !!
Nic picked me up at the airport.....good stuff....then onto Bryn's office and out into Manchester for a sarny (not $14.50) :-)
Met an interesting guy (Alan Harding) on the train home from NZ.....originally from Windermere.....home for his mother's funeral (95).
He is 70 and has a 7 year old son !!!!.................whoops scotties......he runs a Hostel in Nelson called "Trampers Rest"...........i'll have to pop over..........cool as !!!
